About Us
When and how was the brand founded?
Back in 1987, Mintu Paul began his journey by traveling to Assam with sarees from Bengal—always loved in the Northeast. For the next 3–4 years, he worked across Assam and nearby regions, where shopkeepers grew fond of his collection and began requesting them in bulk. That growing demand inspired him to set up a shop in Kolkata and slowly expand the business across India.
Who currently leads the brand?
Today, the business is still led by Mintu Paul. But behind the scenes, his elder daughter, Shatabdi Paul, is working tirelessly to bring the brand online and connect it with a wider audience. She’s been instrumental in shaping the digital journey of the brand.
